How do I make an image of my product on a screen? (for the home page)

There are a lot of sites that have home pages with pictures of their product on a screen. How are these images made? What's the best tool to use? Examples are the images above.
Generally you just have the high quality template image like that and take a screenshot and put it in the area on the computer screen or mobile application. Look for Transparent Computer Screen in your favorite stock photo site. You can then use free tools like Pixlr - web based photo editor like Photoshop or GIMP to edit it. Your other option would be to find someone on Fiverr and just have them do it (that's what I'd do than learn photo editing).
