How do I monetize my Development skills especially in Android without a job?

Hello all. I have a degree in computer science and my most recent contract work was in android development for about 1 year. I also have a small youtube channel with teaching videos. I have been having an extremely tough time finding work in development even though i consider myself an experienced software engineer who can develop both mobile and web solutions on my own.. I am confident in my abilities...What are alternate ways can I use my android development skills to start to make money besides working a job. If you mention freelancing please mention other ways besides fivrr, upwork and freelancer.com. i am willing to pivot to another tech stack if It is easier to make money with. I feel like i have good tech skill as far as being able to build things.....however i have not successfully been able to make very much money and i don't just want to consider my skills useless.... I really want to be able to have my own business and make something entrepreneurial work one day. Can anyone experienced in making money in software development please give me some advice?
