How do you charge subscription / recurring revenue on your website?

I use WooCommerce (but I don't sell a Saas product). So far, no problems with WooCom from my end, I think its quite easy and fast to use. Also changing prices is a breeze.

But I use WooCommerce with a plugin called WooFunnels/AeroCheckout to actually build my order forms.

What makes you say WooCommerce is clunky?

To be more specific, we're looking for a tool that non-technical people can use, that can manage installment payments, not necessarily subscriptions (eg: a 12 month payment plan), and integrates into Hubspot's invoicing system.

The ideal flow would be: Create custom payment schedules in the app > Send a quote from Hubspot > choose the payment schedule in Hubspot > on the quote you have the option to pay which is linked to Stripe (this exists) and it automatically updates the payment schedule from the app where you've set your payment values

The scenario is that we provide installment payments after 'approving' or 'admitting' someone to purchase our product, and we want them to be able to pay on installements directly from a quote they receive from Hubspot.

There is a subscription option as an extension. Never used it myself.

For my business, I'm looking for a solution for software licenses. Yearly renewals. A few different subscription levels. Options for discount codes.

Hi @Lou, could you give me some more context please. Such as what technology your using for you website (eg. wordpress), what your background is (project management, marketing, etc). Also, your pricing. You say 'If a sales person needs to hover in to change some prices': what prices will they be changing? The monthly subscription fee? Or rather applying a discount? What is your pricing model?

I ask because I want to give you the best answer possible and also because there might be a gap in the market for a fellow indie hacker to explore :-)
