How do you collect reader feedback?
I'm looking to embed a poll in my newsletter. I started using https://sparkloop.app/reactions which lets me collect simple feedback like:
"Did you enjoy this edition? 👍 Yup! 👎 Not so much."
What other tools do you use to poll readers and/or collect regular feedback?
I tried to be very specific, such as what content they like or dislike, which part should be removed, how long should a newsletter be etc
I would handpick roughly 10 engaging subscribers from my list, and send them a personalized email.
I don’t use any tools, but my newsletter is built with Substack, hence the analytics is good enough to help me identify areas to be improved.

Give a try to https //handypolls.com, we have an embedded options (for sites and newsletters) for polls.
This is great! I have been thinking that newsletter/email response rate is generally quite low because it is not a natural channel for people to engage in a chat. Of course, there are exceptional cases.
I don't have a tool in mind but def going to try out Sparkloop or MiniPoll. Having a quick poll/reaction on the email could make it super easy to get a bit of data back!
I just launched https://minipoll.co which is a super simple way to create polls for newsletters as well - without needing to register for an account.
Simply create a poll and link to it in your newsletter and share it across any other channel you want. See your results in real time!

What do you think of a forum for users to discuss the newsletter? That could allow more free-form feedback for you as well as a place for users to discuss your content (potentially giving you more ideas for content).
