How do you collect user feedback?
I'm curious to hear how fellow indie hackers gather user feedback for their product.
Do you use a tool for this? Do you directly ask them? And how has this strategy been working out for you?

For Mockoon, I directly contact users to get some feedback as soon as they donate, or when they ask for help on the chat and finish their request by "... by the way thank you for this tool, it's awesome!".
I suppose that these kind words, or a donation, prove that they are in a very good mood and willing to give more feedback. And it works :)
Most of the time they spend some time chatting with me or writing an extensive email on how they use the app.
I also plan to send an in-app link for a survey in the coming months. But it's not ready yet.
