How do you come up with names for your products?

Vision quest

I used to work for a healthcare software company that would name their products after a noun that was somewhat related to the field the product served:

Cardiology product was named "Cupid"
Lab product was called "Beaker"
Dental product was called "Wisdom"
Orthopedics product was called "Bones"
And my favorite, the transplant product was called "Phoenix"

Just something simple like that can make it a lot easier for your customers to remember the different products.

I always try to make name SEO friendly eg. with https://scraperapp.com/ or https://selfcontrol.apki.io/ . Names usually apear in H1 tags and <title> so coming up with something that's an actual keyword could pay off in organic traffic.

As tools I commonly use domainr.com and panabee.com to find that precious .com address

I spent a couple of weeks coming up with the name of my product. Thesaurus.com was huge for me. I think I ended up buying some 11 domain names before picking one. Key for me was making sure the Twitter handle was available.

I ended up with https//yaktack.com (launching tomorrow).
