How do you continue traction after launch?

We had a quite successful Product Hunt launch considering we went from MVP to launch/Front Page of Product Hunt in under a week. Now that the launch is over traffic is has tailed off significantly. Any tips to keep this going?

We are looking into doing a limited campaign for FB ads and Google Adsense.

What was the plan to keep it going post PH originally? I had a similar story with a drone related site on PH. Kind of just dropped off after a while as it was too complex to maintain.

You could focus on optimising for product hunt over time. Keep it at the top of certain lists, and find ways to keep the list fresh.

You could partner up with others sites that make remote recommendations or link to resources for their employee's.

Or you could try to start ranking in search engines. But I imagine that's a pretty competitive place so more a long term strategy

Thanks @jimmyjazz for the comment and tips. We wanted to launch on PH to get product validation. However, we didn't expect it to work as well as it did. Now we are working on Search Engine ranking as you mention and get in front of "real" users and not PH users.

Awesome! Conversely I launched a product yesterday on PH, got in a bit late and had next to no traffic or votes. So Kudos on the successful launch
