How do you currently create User Personas?

What tools do you currently use (if any) to create user personas to build your product for?

I'm trying to see if there's any solutions right now to make user personas based on data instead of just perception of who your customer is. I'm working on a solution personally, but I'm trying to figure out how potential customers are currently solving this issue, it still seems like there's a lack of resources in this field.
Usually personas are synthesized from qualitative/design research, and/or complemented by data. Not seen anyone use just data to create them, and not sure if that's even possible or advisable tbh. But if you can solve it it'll be super interesting!
I totally agree. My background is primarily in design and I've had to make so many user personas in the past, the issue I've found is that even with the research the personas are very face value and aren't often backed up by any real data, just ones perception on who that customer is given their current data metrics. I'm still doing some testing so I can't verify that it is in fact a better solution, but if it is I'll keep you updated!
