How do you do your keyword research?

Here's my pattern for doing this, but I'd be really grateful for suggestions on how to improve this.

Just to be clear, my purpose is to find low competition keywords where I could write some blog posts for my product to boost my organic traffic.

Okay, here my list:

I start with the Google Keyword planner where I use my competitor's domain and pick a few high volumes - low competition keywords
I use Moz's domain analysis to find similar/other keyword ideas. I like Moz because they provide some great Top Questions suggestions
I also use Neilpatel's traffic analyzer. Great resource, get the popular keywords from my competitor's domain
I take a look at keywordtool as well, but compared to the others, it gives very little for free
