How do you find sponsors?

I've had trouble with advertising on my site for awhile now. It's been a lot of experimentation without much luck. How do you find sponsors for your site, newsletter, podcast, etc.?

    1. Build a great product. Focus on growth.
    2. Have a sponsorship page on your website
    3. Be direct. Walk into offices / cold email the right companies. I know @petecodes has had some success here.

Specifically for me with MarketingExamples I've sent a few cold emails (and had success) but mostly they come to me.

One tip is emailing the companies you like a lot. So then you can give a personal recommendation which carries weight.

      Thanks Harry!

Find the person you need to contact. Don't just email info@company.com. Oh and you should be getting rejected 90% of the time so send more messages and if possible, go in person.

Gonna blog about this in more detail really soon.

How do you report to your sponsors?

Do you send info graphics with charts on how the ads performed? Or what do you do?

Can't wait to read about it!

Thank you for your response Harry!

How do you find the right people to contact at the companies you like?

Find their Marketing person through Linkedin / team page.
Their email can be found on Hunter.io likely.

Hey there, I signed up with the "try it free" button. I can see the listings, but filtering doesn't work, pagination send me to the homepage and clicking a business gets me a blank template. Did I find myself in a weird dimension of your site?
