How do you find sponsors and set a price for you newsletter?

Looking for some tips on how to find sponsors and set a price.

Price: 5 cents per sub. (if you have over 40% open rate) If lower, I'd do 10 cents per open. If you can't get buyers, lower your rate. if you sell them, increase your rate.

Finding: Advertise something you love, with an affiliate link, mark it as an affiliate deal. Write a line, in your newsletter, under that advertisement that states "if you'd like to advertise in this newsletter I also have flat rates"

Also Finding: Reach out to Marketing departments at 50 companies you think your readers would like to know about.

Disclaimer: I run HypeLetter which gives you an embedded sales calendar to help ease the sales process.

Andrew has some great suggestions, particularly with starting with affiliate links for products you think your audience would value. It gives you a great starting point with which to talk to the brands themselves, pointing to the sales you've already generated via referral, which you can leverage to get a larger payout

That's a good question @silicontech2018 - I'm also looking for partners/ sponsors to make my newsletter stronger. What partners do you think we should reach out. Here's my newsletter. Keen to hear your opinion!

You need to find companies that are either hosting events or the platforms that are enabling them to host events.

I usually reach out to brands/companies on Twitter that I think would be a good fit for my audience asking if I could a relevant email to send a proposal.

Then sometimes I also receive direct requests from sponsors, which is always nice :)
