Hey π
Lately, I've been struggling with the low conversion from visits to free users (around 3%). 1/4 of the people check the blog and the price list but don't register.
I wonder how you get feedback or how you know what works for your landing page. Is it just by trial and error?
I am now experimenting with the feedback collected on exit.
I display a popup with predefined answers. Maybe this way I can get some clues as to why the conversion is so low.
You can see how I implemented it on my blog.
IMO visitor feedback is not that valuable. Conversations are valuable.
We got the best results from paying our users. $20 to $30 for a 20 minute conversation, depending on the niche (i.e. $20 when we were targeting gamers, $30 for professionals).
We included an email in our welcome autoresponder series, that asked if people would jump on a call with us. We also emailed users who canceled / quit with the same offer.
Chatting with people in a more in-depth way is much more valuable than a multiple choice question.
And I get to ask them about their needs, our competitors, our marketing messaging, future features, what they like or don't like about our product, etc.
That's interesting π€
How have you handled the payment?
Venmo / PayPal. No need to over complicate it :)
Put an open ended form, NOT fixed choice. ...
Saying something cool like:
"Tell Us Why We Suck!"
arrow pointing down at the form

Well, I just have a feedback popup after the user is done using any product.
I keep a tab on whether this is the first time they are providing feedback for a certain product ( so as to ensure I don't keep asking for their feedback for the same product again and again )
I have a separate feedback form for every product on the website.
We have developed a product for feedback online. It is named AudaOS.com, and can help u to present your PPT/website/excel... online.
You need feedback, in AudaOS, everyone can comment and markup on the website. It's accurate and efficient.
Maybe you can have a look about AudaOS at Product Hunt(https://www.producthunt.com/products/audaos), hope u have a good feeling.
Yeah, I felt the same problem on my project, it feels like not having the customers know they will not have to pay to test the product my frighten them. Thank you folks for that discussion, I've learned a lot here.
Hey Bartek, I've left a detailed feedback for your website. You can check it out on this link -> https://app.ruttl.com/share/al94aNVKrJOfiUYYrvFq?page=n2s3V7Yf6JmeTs3mEsV9
@harshvijay can you please check our tool https://linkedcamp.com share your thoughts
Hello,
My friend and I created a platform where we simplified the process of customer feedback by collecting it in one place.
Same concept but not need to implement for yourself just paste a single line of code.
fdbck.io
Hey, thanks, but I'm not looking for such a tool. To be more precise, I even built the same tool in the past and it's called cusback.com
I'm just interested in what people do to increase the conversion π
