How do you get college students to sign up for your app?

Hey, I just released wiredclan.com. It's basically a social blogging platform, exlusively for tech students. I got an amazing review for my landing page from one of the hackers here (shoutout to @Jorsoi for his review thread!). So I was curious what other gold nuggets the community can suggest?

Here's what I've come up with so far:

  • Find college tech groups on Facebook (and spam there?).
  • Ask my sister who's in college.
  • ???

I do have access to my college's network so I have a few initial users but how do I reach out to other colleges?

Appreciate the inputs. Thanks!

Find influencers who cater to your target audience and make promotions through them. Another way is to launch fb ads directly.

I did a targeted micro ads on Facebook and Instagram with the right audience selection and it seemed to pick up. May be you can give it a try. Costs about 3 dollars a day.

Damn. That's kind of nuts. I didn't know FB ads can so cheap and targetable.
