How do you get people engaged with launches?

I launched on product hunt today but it's hard to convince people to upvote. I shared it with friends and even direct messaged dozens of people i know, but they just don't give me 3 seconds to help people find it with upvotes. I'm feeling really discouraged... why is this so hard?

What else can I do?

    why is this so hard?

Identify your ideal customer, come up with a message that solves one of their pain points, then reach out to those ideal customers with your solution that fixes their pain point. Only reach out to those ideal customers.

For your message, fill in this: I help [ideal customer] to [fix pain point] by [doing this thing for them].

"I help people concerned about coral reefs to contribute to fixing their destruction by creating a crypto reef and donating the proceeds."

    And your outreach script:

"I help people concerned about coral reefs to contribute to fixing their destruction by creating a crypto reef and donating the proceeds. I'm reaching out to you because we just launched our project and I was wondering if you are interested in support our cause?"

    (yes)

    "Ok, great! [Do this call-to-action]"

Side note: Many people don't understand what crypto is let alone what a "crypto reef" is. (I have no idea what a crypto reef is) So you might need to overcome that barrier. People are busy, their mind is split 100 different ways at any given time, and if you don't give them a clear script to follow... they won't.
