So we are currently experimenting with landing pages and marketing. As far as I know:
But how do you actually get people to visit your site. This is obviously about marketing and there are many different approaches.
What worked for you?
Paid ads can be an effective way to easily drive traffic, but I've also found leveraging online communities to be helpful too.
Being transparent and openly sharing the problem you're trying to solve, as well as the product you're building is a great way to acquire users.
1 and 2 don't sound right.
People are busy, they might come to your landing page get busy and forget the site etc.
Even the best landing pages don't have anywhere near 100% visitor to trial.
Try to find out what the usual conversion rate is for visitor -> trial/free user and then trial/free user -> paid customer for your industry/niche.
"But how do you actually get people to visit your site" depends on your product. Some companies only do b2b enterprise sales and don't get many visitors to their site.
Ecomm sites pay influencers and use ads to drive traffic.
