How do you grow an email list on your landing page?

Hi guys,

I am going to launch soon a crowdfunding campaign and therefore, as pre-launch strategy, I have created a VIP Sign-up email list for users that can register in oder to get early bird discounts on the product. However, I am still struggling to find the best way to collect emails.

Any advice or past experiences you can share?
Just in case, he the link: http://www.ocioeyewear.com/

One observation on the landing page is it took me some time to figure out what you were selling. I want to see your eyewear more prominent.

Here are a few growth strategies have worked for me:

    Non-Scalable:

    1. This is a simple one but I got my first 200+ subscribers with comment marketing. My general commenting formula.

-- Post on relevant sites, blogs, niche communities
-- Post content that adds a lot of value in the comment.
-- Include your name and a direct link to your site within the comment itself - tastefully
-- Post very soon after the content was published
-- Be relevant and add value (worth mentioning twice!)

    1. Create a Really Long List that is relevant to your niche - for example100 items. The list must have a clear benefit. This takes some time but you have to break it down into manageable chunks. Not only provide the long list but had a cheat sheet lead magnet along with it.

    2. Partnerships - cross-promotions, guest blog posts, podcast interviews. Again, this doesn't scale but is great for getting subscribers.

    Scalable:

    1. List in Directories: List your newsletter in newsletter directories: submitting your newsletter to www.inboxstash.com and www.newsletters.co,
    2. Join Communities: Join forums and niche communities to get feedback from like-mind people: Newsletter crew on Indie Hackers for example
    3. Be Social: Contribute content to communities and social networks where your ideal audience hangs out. Be active on a few.
    4. Create a Small Group: Create a mastermind group of other newsletter creators (~5-8 people) and hold each other accountable
    5. Write well: Write good content consistently. Quality writing & curation gets shared.
    6. Digital Signature: Add your newsletter to your profiles - Product Hunt, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email Signature etc.
    7. Create Referral program: Add a referral program to your newsletters like Sparkloop and others
    8. Buy a guide: Invest in the Newsletteros.com framework. Handy tutorial for growing a newsletter
    9. Cross-promote: Cross-promote your newsletter using Pipewing
    10. Guest Post: Do guest posts on other newsletters and blogs
    11. Sign-up for FixMygrowth to get weekly growth marketing tips (my site)
    12. Launch on Product Hunt.

Hope that helps. If you want me to expand on any topic, DM me on Twitter @fixmygrowth
