How do you handle drip campaigns?

I am considering adding a drip campaign to my offering. What I would like to have is that people get a weekly email on a predefined sequence every Monday.

How would you manage something like this? I'm just trying to find out the best tool combination. If there would be any self hosted option, then even better!
