How do you keep track of your product dev / projects?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately / trying to tailor my own solutions and I'd love to know what your process is for keeping track of internal deadlines, progress, budget or time burnup (or both), etc etc.
What tools do you use? How do they talk to each other?
