How do you keep working on your project when results are so slow?

People overestimate what can be accomplished in 1 year and underestimate what can be accomplished in 10. You need to always think of the big picture.

Trust the process and be happy with the process. We get too caught up in the end results, delaying happiness for a later date when what we need is little goals and rewards to keep us going. When I'm working on a project I know will take months or years, I set milestones and celebrate when I hit each one.

If you're working on your project for intrinsic rather than extrinsic reasons then that alone is always a good reason to keep going. I always think people give up when they are focused too much on extrinsic factors e.g. money. You say this is more of a hobby though, so what is the problem? Maybe you've lost your passion for it. Take a break away from it for a week and your motivation may be refueled.

Time is relative, it'll pass regardless. I always think about the time, when I'll reach the end, the time I'll see the result. If I keep working, that day will come, and I'll be very happy about it.

I keep following my processes to drive growth (outreach, new content) and scale back my effort if necessary.

I much prefer a steady work output, than a high intensity output for a week or two that burns me out hard.

In the earlier stages, it's key to keep motivation high so you can keep going.
