How do you know if you're working on the right idea?

Picking the right market is probably the most important thing an entrepreneur can do. You can have the best bait in the world but if you're fishing in the wrong pond it's pointless. Get that right, and everything else will naturally fall into place.

  1. How do you pick the best ideas to work on?
  2. How do you filter great ideas from good ones?
  3. If you're already working on an idea, how do you know if that's the best use of your time?

As someone who has a bunch of cool ideas all the time, I've struggled to pick which one to work on. I would structure the importance of an Idea in this order
market >> audience > feasibility > risks > competition

To answer these questions for myself, I created Validator (tryvalidator.com). I wanted to make sure that I don't waste time working on something with low potential.

Validator uses AI to analyze and evaluate new + existing business Ideas. I wanted it to be simple and easy to use - so It has a scoring system that rates an idea out of 100. I use it on every new idea I get to see whether it's the right thing I could be working on.

PS: If you'd like to try validator out and give me feedback, Apply coupon "INDIEHACKER" or "FEEDBACK" during checkout and you'll get 70% off your first purchase!
