I am a software developer and everything I know about programming a learned online.
I created a side project where I am manually reviewing programming courses and combine them into learning paths so that people can learn more with fewer online courses and in less time!
Would you find it useful?
Here is my landing https://www.comparecourses.dev
Hey Sandor,
Your copy organized like an academic paper. People in academia have strong motivation to read research papers. But regular internet users don't have the patience to read a wall of text.
The first line is responsible to make people want to continue reading. If the headline is boring, then the rest of the text can't do their job.
Hey.com's letter is an example of a good copy. It starts with "Email gets a bad rap." People can relate to it and think "Oh that's true. I get a ton of marketing emails every day."
Show that you understand the pain that people can relate to on the first line. The motivation section is where to start from. Reduce it into a single sentence and use it as the headline.
Here's my 1 cent idea aimed toward beginners:
"I thought coding is fun until I lost in advanced courses"
Thanks for your feedback. What you say reminds me of how one starts a talk to capture attention of the audience. The Hey.com proves that headline can be a little longer that I thought. I will rethink it now and maybe reduce the overall text size on the landing. Thanks!
