The book's landing page seems to be an important part of sales and marketing.
Many authors, for some reason, don't bother with a landing page and just use a gumroad description. It's a good approach, but I don't think it's the most effective.
Someone makes a landing page from scratch or buys a template. But not all templates fit the books.
I have an idea to make some html templates just for books. Html is a universal format that can be used with any framework. I'm also thinking of making a simple cover designer in figma.
How do you think it will be interesting for those who write books?
Hello, late to the party. I don't know a whole lot about html. I've been utilizing a wordpress site for about 7 or so years as my author website, but it's never felt quite right. I recently started a Substack and felt at home immediately. Substack is a great way to reach new readers and create various landing pages for your projects. I'm also still working on publishing my first novel, so I have limited experience in making landing pages for specific products.
Interesting post Leonid!
I created a carrd.co site for my new book (https://tigerhousebooks.com)
I'm somewhat terrified of what will happen if/when my book gets traction and I have to keep track of orders!!
