Hey everybody, there are so much advice and techniques on how to talk to your users, which question should be asked and etc. But I found it hard to actually get users talking to me.
We have 5-10 new users signed up every day, but the retention rate is really low.
We tried to write them in email and ask why don't they like our product, but we got 0 replies.
So what are techniques do you use to get feedback from users (some widgets on the site), or to engage them to do user interviews?
I'll answer your question two different ways.
First, how to talk to your users?
Second, maybe you can learn what you're trying to learn without talking to your users. If you're trying to learn why people are abandoning your service, you could also learn some of those answers by doing some user interviews. Even if someone has never used your service, if you confirm that they're in your target market, and then walk them through it and ask for their feedback, they might help you understand why your users aren't coming back.
Thanks, makes a lot of sense
