How do you reach your audience?

For those of you marketing an internet business, what has worked in terms of getting in front of more people?

We are trying out instagram, and wanting to know what has worked for the IH community!

I feel like this is a market-specific question.

In my own experience building and marketing a SaaS product, we have found moderate success in using slack as a platform to acquire early adopters. My business partner and I have both made attempts in joining online communities, participating in the community and then sharing with the community the product. Of course, this can blow up in your face depending on where you are sharing it, and the voice that you are using.

I can see IG being a good solution if you are trying to break into a younger demographic.

Definitely look at reddit. I only focus on that channel.

I've been building out lists of camping gear warranties and posting them to the camping group for trustfuss.com my warranty analysis site.

    Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/CampingGear/comments/d6z1xe/updated_list_of_sleeping_pad_warranties_ranked/

It consistently drives traffic to my site once it's posted because when people search on reddit or google that post becomes indexed. My content is unique as warranty comparison data is not readily found anywhere so I would look at posting some type of unique content that would help you stand out.

In the music reddit there are 21M members. https://www.reddit.com/r/Music/
I'd think you could do something similar... the key is to post value ask for feedback and thoughts from the community they will provide great ideas on what they want.

@jloha312 I really appreciate the feedback. Reddit seems like a great way to do some target, organic marketing, and I will take your advice. In fact, I already have :)
