How do you separate paying subscribers from the rest of your subscribers
Apart from using substack, How do you go about sending the premium newsletter to those that are paying for it? Maybe mailchimp has that feature, but right now I just have an audience and dont know how I would send a premium newsletter without manually sending it
Buttondown, Mailerlite, Ghost, Mailchimp, and EmailOctopus all support tags. I’d recommend going with a solution that supports payments out of the box, though: you can certainly hook up Zapier & Stripe to Mailchimp and have automation handling all the infrastructure, but then you have to deal with edge cases (how do you gift subscriptions? how do you deal with dunning?) and reinvent the wheel a bit.
Ghost is an option, have you looked into that? I believe they have the option of sending different messages to free and paid subscribers.
I went with Substack because they make it so easy. 🤷🏽♀️
