How do you showcase your product in your landing page?

As a UX designer here is my 2 cents. Do you have a nice web app design? Show it. Do a 50/50 or 40/60 layout split where you explain the essence of your product. On your right show a request being made. Best case scenario do a moving image like a gif. Worst case scenario static image.

The biggest problem at the moment is that I do not find the landing page engaging. There is nothing that would show the actual service. Best case while in use. I cannot imagine myself using it.

If you follow a similar logic of showing the app. My bet is that you would have more conversions. Good luck! I'm rooting for you!

For me, I initally explained features. But later on I realised that users don't care for features, they want to know how it helps them. So I targeted the copy towards potential use cases.

Couple of other things:

• I kept it visually simple to avoid distractions
• I thoroughly optimized loading speed and optimized meta tags for search engines.
• I also greatly reduced padding so more content is over the fold, and just in general I can stuff more content in a relatively small area.

I agree with "it's really important to showcase your product above the fold" and I was struggling with this too.

At first my approach was to display each feature my app has like your landing page is doing, but at least for me that didn't feel like the best approach...

then my next approach was to create a video explaining how my app works, but the video was too long and if a user watch only 10 seconds of it, he will see just 1 feature...

my last and current approach is to display one video player, but multiple features, like in a list, so the user clicks a feature, and then the video changes and shows that feature, that way my landing is a little more dynamic, check it out 🙆🏻‍♀️ (Pau app)[https://www.pauapp.com/]

If you have some time, you can could create some sort of A/B testing and experment with multiples approaches
