How do you stay on top of reddit?
I'm looking for ways to get notified of keywords that pop-up on reddit so I don't miss out on the fleeting moments and so I am not glued to reddit in fear of missing out.
Any recommendations? I am currently evaluating trackreddit.com but would like to consider others as well.

You can't track keywords but you can get analytics on specific subreddits and discover popular words per subreddit. We are in Demo so we only track 6 popular subs right now.
https://readspike.com gives me updates on some good news, including Reddit and Hacker News.
