How do you transcribe your interviews?

I'm considering writing a newsletter where I would interview domain experts to help engineers with their careers.

I interviewed an ex-coworker using Zoom, sticking to my question list that I sent him in advance, while keeping the discussion conversational.

The process of transcribing the audio is so tedious. There has to be a better way.

Any recommendations for how to do interviews and transcribe the interview better?
