How do you use automation to help with outreach marketing?
My goal is to set up a number of bots to monitor many different channels to watch for phrases and keywords. Once there's a good hit with a high level of confidence it will ping me so I can join the conversation.
What tools have you found are best for this?
I want to monitor:
- Several random forums (tough part!)
- Quora
- Facebook groups
- Hackernews (least important)
Ideally, in the future, it would incorporate some machine learning to help identify what a good conversation to join is. However, that would probably take a lot of work and time to set up and train.
I'm looking at mostly using https://github.com/huginn/huginn as it's free and open source. https://syften.com also looks promising as you can integrate with other tools using webhooks and Zapier.

Once you identify posts in online communities that are relevant to your topic, are you looking to join those conversations? And if so, are you hoping to attract users who may be interested in your product?
If so, then SplashPad is a great resource for you. SplashPad provides pre-written messages for you to email to your audience or post on online communities. Those messages use writing techniques that have been proven to get responses and positive reactions from users.
