How do you validate an idea?

I've been working on a side project for a few days but I'm not sure if it's something people is going to use. I guess this is a really common doubt but not sure what to do.

    Hi! First you need to define your target audience, who is your product for? Create a landing page with clear value proposition describing the Problem you are fixing. Than start to Generate some traffic to it using facebook posts, etc. other places where is your target audience is sitting
