How does Medium search engine indexing work ?

Hi guys.
One year ago I wrote a series of articles on Medium to do some content marketing for my project Resting. The experiment has been a failure: only 10-20 views in a whole year
Suddenly at the beginning of January one article (https://medium.com/p/create-hello-world-rest-api-fb7afd692fb4) has started to take some traction (15/20 view for week).

The views arrives totally from Google.
I don't understand how Medium articles are indexed in Google. It seems that until January the article wasn't indexed.

Can you give me an explanation ?

On Medium, It takes some time to index, If your article has some search queries, then because Medium has high authority, it started ranking on google.

So you think that 6 months is a normal range of time to have some views from Google. There isn't particular strategy to adopt, I have only to wait
