How does this name feels to you: toile.io ?

reminds me to toilet as I read it (I'm italian and I speak fluent english)

In English it doesn't work that well. It's easily misread as "toil", which means "trouble".

I personally like it (I'm biased as I also speak french), but I suspect it would be hard to pronounce for english speakers. Doesn't map to anything very close, so they might be confused. Maybe foil? but then it sounds like an awkward cousin of "toll", probably not the imagery you're going for.

At the same time it doesn't have to be a requirement. It's your project's identity and it's perfectly fine for you to use this name and imbue it with its own legitimacy.

I didn't think much about the name when I had to choose one but when I started talking about it with English speakers it quickly occurred to me that 'toilet' was way too close of a spelling for me to keep being comfortable with it (especially with the .io tld). I was totally ok with the fact that it sounds french and I am totally ok with funny names as well but reading 'toilet' is not frenchy nor funny. ^^'
At least, I am glad to read that french speakers get it and may even like it. ;)
