How hard is getting funded?

Hello, dear Indie Hackers

I am co-founder of Zoomzo Games. Zoomzo Games is a game development studio that produces global-focused Hyper-Casual games which are fun to play and can be consumable in everyday life by different age groups.

Recently we have been working to improve our metrics. I am preparing a detailed document for the possible investors. I wonder if any indie-hacker experienced the same steps? Can you give me some information about how things worked out for you? What not to do? Where should I be focused?

I strongly believe I am capable of doing the documentation well but an experienced point of view can help me spot mistakes earlier. So if you would like to share your funding stories please comment below. Hopefully, this post can help many entrepreneurs with your valuable comments.

Even if you would like to contribute without knowledge please don't be afraid to share your thoughts. I want to talk about the process and motivate others too.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need a detailed document. Below is a well known VC in the Seattle, USA. Look at their template. Some don't even need that. If you need someone to give you feedback, feel free to ping me. I have gone through an accelerator too. There are a lot of startups that are getting funded without a deck. With the right data points, team and traction funding comes easily. There is plenty of capital.

Thank you. I am going to examine it. I have a bunch of documents, guides and I am looking forward to creating new networking opportunities. Right now we are in the phase of collecting data and I have already started working on the pitch deck. It helps me figure out the big picture I guess. Thanks for your pieces of advice. I appreciate the positivity!

Well only 1% of startups get funded so I’d say it’s pretty tough.
