How I Automated Pinterest to Hit 1 Million Impressions/month

What -

Hello everyone, so last year(in Jan) I wrote a python script to automatically post images on Pinterest. I created around 725 pins on automation.

How-

  • First, I selected a source for scraping images (per day around 12-14)

  • Then I saved those images on my server

  • Then I created a script to post these downloaded images at a regular interval
like every hour 1 image on Pinterest. (I created a python script + used IFTTT to automate the posting of images on Pinterest.)

  • After doing this, I left my script running for 2-3 months.

  • At first, I didn't get any results, but after the continuous posting of around 2-3 months, my pins started getting views.

  • All this setup was running on a shared hosting which costed me around 1$/month

The 3k is the last 28 days monthly viewers, the stat that I shared is 1 year old.

The goal was to test and experiment if Pinterest can be automated or not for getting traffic, I didn't optimise the content well.
