Hey Indie Hackers,
I’m the founder of Invoinova.com, a free utility tool I launched a few weeks ago. Like many of you, I’m a developer and freelancer who hates spending time on administrative tasks.
Most "free" invoice generators are great for one-off PDFs, but they break down the moment you have to handle recurring billing for multiple clients or export data from your own tracking systems. I noticed that competitors like Skynova or Zoho either hide automation behind a paywall or require a complex API setup that most freelancers don't want to deal with.
I decided to build a "middle ground" feature: Batch Generation via JSON and CSV.
Instead of typing every name and amount manually, you can now:
Drop a CSV from your time-tracker.
Paste a JSON object if you're a dev who likes to script things.
Hit generate and get all your PDFs at once.
Global Reach: I’ve launched with support for 7 languages, covering major global markets and the Balkans, with 2 more on the way.
Privacy First: No registration required. You can generate everything instantly and leave.
Monetization: Currently exploring Google Ads revenue models based on active user counts rather than charging freelancers for basic features.
My plan is to position this specifically for developers, contractors, and designers who already have their data in spreadsheets or code and just need a fast way to turn it into professional documents.
I’d love your feedback on:
Do you prefer uploading a file (CSV) or pasting raw data (JSON)?
As an Indie Hacker, would you use a tool like this, or do you prefer fully automated SaaS solutions like Stripe Invoicing despite the fees?
Check it out at invoinova.com and let me know what you think!
