How I built a curated AI job board using Astro and a custom JSON-based pipeline

aitrainer.work is a curated board for AI training roles (DataAnnotation, Mercor, etc.), focusing on technical tasks

AI curation for job boards is interesting — the challenge isn't just filtering listings, it's helping users understand which roles actually match their skills before they waste time applying.

Most job boards show you what's available. The good ones show you what's relevant. But the gap is: do users actually understand what "AI training" or "data annotation" means in practice before they click apply?

We're building voice agents that guide users through understanding what products actually do, in real-time. Same principle applies here — instead of just listing "DataAnnotation roles available," what if users could instantly understand what the day-to-day work looks like, what skills matter, and whether it's actually a fit?

Curious how you're thinking about the discovery-to-understanding gap, especially for users new to AI training work: demogod.me

Interesting project. Curious — how are you handling listing freshness? Do you scrape and validate automatically, or is it manually curated? I'm building a tech news aggregator and content freshness is one of the trickier parts to get right.

at the moment it is a mix of both - i have created a scraper that i run manually and a bunch of helper scripts that i use for properly formatting the scraped data and categorizing / tagging the jobs... but this is far from perfect and requires lots of manual curation atm.

Makes sense — manual curation with helper scripts is a solid starting point. At least you can control quality while you figure out which parts are worth automating.

The categorization/tagging part sounds like the natural candidate for automation later — especially if you're seeing patterns in how jobs get classified. Good luck with the iteration.

Hi there, it's nice to see your product, mine is similar https://aitrainer.jobs
The only issue I encountered is that I struggle to get verified Outlier and Alignerr accounts for referral purposes. Waiting for my first paid referral. Good luck with your job board!

thank you! i also do not have a referral account for Outlier and some of the platforms.
