How I built a Reddit lead generation tool that hit $200+ MRR in 14 days

I almost didn't build this.

The market for a Reddit lead generation tool seemed crowded. There are big players like GummySearch and tons of social listening apps. But I noticed a gap: they all just listened. None of them acted.

The Pivot:
I realized founders don't want alerts; they want customers. So I built an AI Agent (Leado) that focuses on Intent rather than just keywords.

The Results:

  • Launched 2 weeks ago.

  • 9 paying customers.

  • $200+ MRR.

  • 0 Ad spend (I used the tool to market itself).

If you are looking for a Reddit lead generation tool that writes the replies for you instead of just sending notifications, I'd love your feedback on the UX.

Nice breakdown of the pivot. The distinction between alerts vs. action is spot on.

Curious how you’re handling false positives on intent. Do you rely mostly on prompt-level filtering, or do you still manually review replies before posting?

$200+ MRR in two weeks with no ad spend is solid validation.

Looks great. What model do you use to generate preview responses, and am I able to change the system prompt for that?

That's insane, 9 paying customers after 2 weeks

That’s a clever pivot, focusing on intent instead of noise. Using the product to market itself is a great touch too. Curious to see how Leado evolves.

Awesome job at finding niches, almost every crowded market with big players has tons of micro niches and spaces which are full of oppurtunity. The hardest part is finding them.

This is a solid example of finding a wedge in a crowded market.

Most founders assume “competition = bad,” but you just proved that competition with a missing behavior layer = opportunity. Everyone else built listening tools… you built an acting tool. Huge difference.

    What stands out strategically:

    • You reframed the job-to-be-done. People don’t want alerts; they want conversations that convert. That shift alone moved you from “another Reddit monitor” to “a revenue-generation agent.”

    • Zero ad spend matters. The fact that the product can market itself signals strong product–channel fit early on.

    • MRR at 14 days is a great sign because it shows the pain point is urgent enough for founders to pay quickly.

If you can keep tightening the intent detection + maintain authentic-sounding replies, you’re sitting on a category upgrade rather than a feature clone.

Curious to see where you take this—particularly if you expand into niche community platforms where intent signals are even more raw (FB groups, Discord, specialized forums).

    Nice execution, Alex.

Nice win — and super fast validation. Most tools stop at “alerts,” so focusing on intent + actual action makes your angle stand out. Hitting $200 MRR in 2 weeks without ads is impressive. Happy to check out the UX — feels like there’s a lot of room for tools that do the work, not just surface it.

Interesting - 9 paying customers after 2 weeks is actually insane. Sounds like you need to charge more!

Wow, great work and concept! I always got overwhelmed on Reddit. Having it execute it instead of just listen helps a ton!

This is solid execution. Most people build another ‘alert tool,’ but you focused on intent + action that’s the real gap. The fact you hit $200 MRR in 14 days with no ads shows the positioning is tight. Curious to see how Leado handles niche markets and long-tail queries. Great work, Alex.

To promote a good content creation tool, marketing skills are essential. However, many people are now using an AI marketing tool called Amplift, which can help us better achieve our desired goals.
