How I built my AI-generated stock image website without writing one line of code.

I have always wanted to build a stock image website but considering the fact that I couldn't code, it felt like a herculean task. I have also had distasteful ordeals with co-founders (both technical & non-technical) earlier in my startup journey which led to lost of time & money. My mind was set on being a solopreneur. One could argue this was almost a foolish mindset to have as someone who isn't technical, can't code, and won't take on a co-founder. However, how does that saying goes? Fortune favors the brave. Luckily for me I found nocode & the AI revolution began.
I am going to admit I was still stucked because I looked at other stock image websites and would sometimes get overwhelmed asking myself is it even possible to build something close to this.
I eventually started building Wallpea towards December last year and launched to public around March.

Wallpea Stack:
For the front end; I chose Carrd website builder
For backend to host images; I chose lemonsqueezy
For payment; I chose lemonsqueezy
Most of the images on Wallpea are AI generated. For this I chose; Playground, Bing creators are what I use in generating the images, although I use few other platforms to generate images (except other stock images AI generators; their policy, T&C doesn't allow competitors generate images using their platforms).
I finetuned my copywriting using Tinywow & Askyourpdf
For forms & submissions; I opted for Tallyforms. The value they create is immense. They are also Indiehackers & solopreneurs friendly.

I didn't write a line of code building Wallpea. One could argue it isn't as perfect as other stock image websites like Unsplash or Pexels. I also think they are beautiful websites. However, Wallpea isn't backed by Getty Inages or Canva.

Wallpea stack is made up of nocode & contents are generated by AI. Proudly built by a non-technical solopreneur with no funding.
