Three years ago, I was running a bootstrapped B2B SaaS with a $0 marketing budget. Manual outreach on LinkedIn. Personalized emails in Lemlist. Waiting. Following up. Brutal.
I tried Apollo — deliverability tanked after 6 months. Switched to Lemlist — $3K/month at scale. Add a $30K/year SDR to handle replies? That's $55K annually for basic email outreach.
I couldn't afford it. Neither can 50,000 other founders doing $1M–$5M ARR.
The Problem Nobody's Solving
Most tools treat outreach as "sending emails." They don't solve the real bottleneck: personalization at scale + intelligent reply handling.
Shared IP pools tank your deliverability
Template-based personalization doesn't fool anyone
Reply handling still requires a human
What PitchPilot Does Differently
Dedicated infrastructure — Your sender reputation is yours alone. No other campaigns can tank your inbox placement. Result: 8–15% reply rates vs. typical 2–4%.
AI-reasoned personalization — Before sending, the AI reads the prospect's LinkedIn, their company's recent news, and your product docs. It generates angles that genuinely connect — not "hey [first_name], we help [industry]."
AI reply management — Every reply gets classified: genuine interest, rejection, noise, or a yes. Your inbox only shows qualified conversations. The AI handles 80% of the noise.
The Numbers (4 months, ~50 beta users)
Average reply rate: 11.3%
Time to first reply: 2.1 days
SDR time eliminated: 15–20 hours/week per user
Price: $79/month vs. $55K/year the old way
One customer went from 2% to 12% reply rates in 30 days. Their words: "This isn't a tool. This is a cheat code."
The Ask
If you're a founder tired of broken outreach tools and expensive SDRs, DM me for beta access. We're building the entire revenue stack for founders — starting with the hardest part: getting qualified meetings with less work.
Update: First week live — real numbers
Posted the story last week about replacing a $55K/year SDR with an AI agent. Here's what happened:
The numbers:
3 waitlist signups (no paid traffic at the time)
Started running Meta ads targeting Apollo/Lemlist/Instantly users
Stripe checkout is live — $79/mo Starter, $149/mo Growth
0 paying customers yet (keeping it real)
What I learned: The IH post drove more curiosity than I expected. Most questions were about how the AI writes outreach that doesn't sound like a robot. That told me the demo matters more than the pitch — people want to see it work before they buy.
What's next:
Nurture sequence going out to those 3 signups this week
Building an interactive demo so people can try PitchPilot without signing up
Doubling down on ads — early signals look promising
Still bootstrapping this as a side project. If you're burning money on Apollo + an SDR and getting ghosted, that's exactly who I built this for.
Would love feedback — what would make YOU try an AI sales agent?
