Hi Indie Hackers,
I’m Aman Kumar, a solo developer who recently launched TalkRush — a lightweight and privacy-friendly platform where people can chat with strangers online via text, video, or group chat without creating an account.
After noticing the demand for real-time, anonymous conversations (especially after many major platforms shut down), I saw an opportunity to create something simple and accessible. Most alternatives were bloated with ads or spam, so I focused on speed, privacy, and a no-login experience.
Chat with strangers instantly
Anonymous group chats
Random video chat
Mobile-friendly, no app download needed
No registration, no data stored
I built this using vanilla HTML, CSS, and JS, and it’s hosted on GitHub Pages. The frontend is lightweight, and there’s no backend database — keeping everything fast and privacy-first.
I’m planning to:
Add basic moderation tools
Improve user connection quality
Possibly introduce a minimal account system (opt-in only)
If you’ve built something similar or have tips on improving retention and engagement in anonymous platforms, I’d love your insights. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think:

Thanks for reading!
Love the simplicity. Curious—how are you thinking about handling moderation without a backend? Especially with video chat, that seems tricky.
And soon as possible i introduce report system and IP Ban, who voilate rules. ☺️
For Text Chat moderation i use filter.txt file and aded many words.
that's good to know!
