How I came up with a decent product idea

I remember a few years back when I was in a serious situation. I had been working a 9-to-5 and constantly hating myself for what I considered to have become. I recall thinking to myself that it was just a matter of completing college, getting a good job and everything else will fall into place. Although I did follow this plan, things did not come together as I had hoped. I seemed to be getting more work than ever but somehow the success that I was looking for was always beyond my reach. It was the feeling of being constrained that led me to confront my superior for pay considerations which ended up being ignored. It was a lesson learnt, I was being disrespected and I had to take charge of my life once more. Quitting my job was so scary but I knew that I would not allow my value to be whitewashed by an unhappily employed person.

The shift to being self employed was scary, full of trial and error as I tried a number of business concepts. Just as I was starting to give up, I found an advertisement promoting a gathering where people who have succeeded in business were going to be present. I could not afford the price of the ticket but I decided to wait in the hallway of the hotel until the booking session was over.
