The previous month I decided to start being more transparent with the process of building and growing notJust.dev, which is a community of full-stack mobile developers. I started sharing the income report, and this is the second month I am doing it. It still feels weird to me to share this topic publicly. The goal is not to brag about it, but to show that it is possible to make a living doing the things you love.
At the moment, all the revenue is generated by my Youtube channel. I am also working on a high-end full-stack mobile development course, which will be released to the public in the beginning of 2022.
TL;DR
Revenue: $10,603.17
Expenses: $8,338.02
Profit: $2,265.15
Apparently, more revenue does not mean more profit 🤔

"The goal is not to brag about it, but to show that it is possible to make a living doing the things you love." <-- Love this, Vadim! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Brandon
Wow that is impressive. Hoping to get RetroTeam there someday.
What is the breakdown of your expenses?
Why is it so high?
Thanks! As mentioned in other comments, the revenue is mostly reinvested back in the channel: equipment, team salaries (3 part-time, 1 fulltime), video production for youtube and course, education (courses/books), all the software (which becomes quite significant).
You showed a break down of revenues, but not costs. The expenses seem high, why?
It's mostly reinvested back in the channel: equipment, team salaries (3 part-time, 1 fulltime), video production for youtube and course, education (courses/books), all the software (which becomes quite significant).
Also, I organized a contest (Squid game) and invested around $1k in that video (prize pool, production, animations). BTW, The video flopped big time :(
