How I effortlessly made $4 (first sale) and a lesson

Guys, now I'm like 🤯🥳😂😍

I have been working on this project for almost a year now. By that I don't mean it's a task intensive project, I mean it was lying around dormant for all these days.

To this day, I didn't spend one moment to market it. No one even knows about this project, it was a fun little project I did and that was it!

Few hours ago, I did only one thing. On Rosie's recent post What's your shortest domain? She asked for the longest domain we own and I mentioned the longest I owned. That was the first time I ever spoke about it. Before you ask, let me also tell you this, that comment didn't get any votes and is literally buried inside the comments.

But.. my sale just happened. So the buyer went down the comments, almost to the very bottom or somehow got links to the nearby comments (🤷‍♂️) and brought a space on my website.

I mean, it's not luck. I didn't go viral. I didn't even sell. And this feeling is so AMAZING.

Edit: I always learn a lesson or two from what I do. This time I don't have much but one thing you can learn here is: if I can sell text and somebody will like it, I'm so damn sure someone out there will be loving your project when they see it.

It took me a year for this and I had to spread the word. For you, it may take a while and a bit more efforts but hang in there, it'll happen.
