Hey Indiehackers,
Hope you're all doing awesome! Here's a quick update on what’s been happening with Poper.ai lately.
Exciting News:
Our waitlist just soared past 600 sign-ups! 👋
🚀Here’s What We Did:
We’ve been super active in the #buildinpublic community on Twitter, sharing our journey and connecting with fellow builders. Being transparent and engaging on Twitter has brought us closer to our community.
Dived into LinkedIn Sales Navigator this month for some targeted outreach and it's been eye-opening. Personalized outreach via LinkedIn Sales Navigator helped us reach potential early adopters effectively.
We also made our presence known in directories like "thereisanaiforthat" and engaged with communities on Reddit, such as r/sideprojects and r/SaaS. Sharing our story and the essence of Poper.ai in specific directories and on Reddit has piqued interest and sparked conversations.
🚀 Key Takeaways:
Direct engagement really is king. Connecting personally, whether through social platforms or targeted outreach, has significantly contributed to our waitlist growth and overall project momentum.
🚀 What’s Next?
We have launched our closed beta. Wanna be part of the early crew? Shoot me a message on Twitter @karanbhakuni.
Till next time,
Good story! Could you tell more in-depth about how you used LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
I love this idea - nice work!
Can you post on directories if all you have is a landing page? You don't need the functioning product for that?
Awesome, very nice landing page too. Could you elaborate more about how you grew on Twitter? Currently working on that, also in the #buildinpublic hashtag.
Landing page is awesome.
Good Job, could you give us more details about your experience.
I would love to learn more about it
Good work Karan! Building in public & targeted outreach are paying off :)
Loved how you genuinely engaged with potential customers though you may have little resource to do so
Do you ask for any pre payment or is it a free waiting list? How do you get certainty that waiting customers will be paying customers?
Congrats btw, I’ve learned some important tips
Love the concise outline with some valuable info!
This is an awesome post! Particularly love your points about engaging directly. Curious if you see yourself continuing that or leaning more into the social channels you highlighted (Reddit threads, twitter, etc.)
600 wait-list signups – that's awesome progress, congrats!
Between Twitter, LinkedIn, and Reddit, which one was most effective?
Any tips for avoiding Reddit's wrath? Redditors can be hostile sometimes.
