How I generated 15 free new trial users on my membership site in 2 days and plan to convert them

So I’ve been constantly juggling with how to build an email list. I’ve been using social media - specifically Facebook ads that run to a landing page on Unbounce which then send an email drip for a 5 day challenge. I got the emails but didn’t get sign ups to a free trial on the membership site.

I’m thinking my website (which is built on word press with restrict content pro) has a high barrier to obtain a new user because of the credit card entry. So instead what I just did was just give people free trial memberships without the credit card ask. What I’m asking for in the landing page (with way more social proof) is name, email and phone number.

I’ve read in multiple places that SMS marketing is a really good platform, so I’m going to attempt to build a relationship to convert people to pay for membership after trial is done. This does require more effort but I’d rather get people to try my site before losing them and not even getting the chance to convince. Let’s see what happens in the next month as I post updates!
