This was for one of my Home Decor clients back in 2016.
Target age: 30 - 50 | Mostly married & owned a house.
Target Locations: Tier 1 and 2 cities (India)
I joined an extensive list of carefully selected 30 FB Groups:
Group A) Home Decor & Interior Design
Group B) Real Estate (Buy and Sell, Apartment owners etc)
Group C) Generic (Bangalore Put Me In Touch, Mumbai Garage Sale, Delhi Flee Market & other Marketplaces)
Note: I made sure not to SPAM. Publishing schedule looked something like this 👇
Group A - 10 - Tue
Group B - 10 - Thu
Group B - 10 - Sat
I engaged with a lot of participants and members too.

Hi Vishal, your approach to using Facebook groups to generate sales is really insightful, and for anyone looking to elevate their home decor offerings, adding touches of luxe decor like modern wallpapers, abstract murals, or themed wall designs can make a big difference in how a space is perceived, creating a more premium feel and attracting customers who appreciate thoughtful design, while also complementing effective marketing strategies to boost engagement and conversions.
The targeted approach of publishing curated home decor products, including Ramadan and Eid decorations, across selected Facebook groups resulted in consistent lead generation, averaging 5 to 10 quality leads daily, each valued at $300. These leads were efficiently managed and nurtured through a CRM system for effective remarketing and tracking, enhancing overall sales performance.
Nice! How did you make sure it doesn't look like SPAM?
Most posts on groups must be approved by admins,
so it's hard to promote and not look spammy at the same time
Thats a great practical question Jonathan.
If your facebook profile is aged well and post on 10 to 15 groups every day, you wont be actually blocked.
Also, to avoid spamming, you need to genuinely engage with other community members.
Try adding value even if you're not selling your product. More the engagement, more the trust.
Also, try sharing blogs and really good images/videos of interesting stuff related to your business.
Nice! I imagine it can take some time to post in 10-15 groups, unless you post the same thing
Sometimes yes, I did post the same thing on all the groups.
But it will also require you to tailor your post for specific groups in times of demand.
That's awesome! Are there a lot of entrepreneur groups on facebook too?
Were you just answering questions at this schedule or were you adding posts to these groups too?
THanks Prateek, Yes! There are a lot .... A LOT! of groups across various sectors like entreprenuer , Home Decor, MarketPlace, Buy & Sell, Auto, Real Estate, Home & Garden, Dating and much much more.
Since, publishing the images along with product description was short task. I used to interact and help many people in the group.
Helping others is community! It works!
okay awesome! how would i find entrepreneur groups in facebook? I've never tried it but would love to.
You can directly go to Facebook Groups and search for your desired groups.
Example: Startup India, Startup Bangalore, Entreprenuer Club Bangalore, <Your Industry Name> etc
Got it, thank you!
