How I get sales for my Shopify business

Two months ago, I was just a technical practitioner who knew something about the e-commerce industry, working as a product manager for an e-commerce platform at my last employer. I had just quit my job at that time and decided to open a dropshipping shop with my own abilities. (Proof -https://ibb.co/TgWFGkV)

Fortunately, I had a good foundation in design and experience in e-commerce operations theory, which saved me a lot of time in opening the shop and brought good sales results.

It's been over a month since the shop was set up and a month has passed since then, generating $3,000 in sales. As a newbie to dropshipping, it's still a lot of fun. I also know that this is not good for an expert. But I still want to share it with you all.

Some tips on shop design:

The reason why I chose to open a shop on the Shopify platform is that the setup is relatively simple. Set up shop parameters this is actually not difficult, there are many tutorials online, read once to basically complete the simple construction of the shop.

The theme is also a random selection of a free theme because at the time was not sure what to sell, and did not intend to do the fine decoration. In order to save time and cost, I just fine-tuned the details page of a particular product separately. It turned out that although my shop design was average, a sufficiently attractive single page for a product was more likely to lead to conversions. Low cost and high return upfront, reducing non-essential time investment. Of course, it doesn't mean you don't have to optimize the design, it's just that at first, the effort needs to be more focused. After that, you can keep optimizing and iterating, and the time won't be short

Some insights from the find niche:

In the beginning, I didn't know what categories of goods sold well. I could only refer to other people's ideas of product selection on the Internet. Although there were various ways to do this, actually putting it into practice, I found that it didn't convince me. It turns out that testing is the best way to see if a product is hot. Whether the merchandise itself has the potential to become explosive is one hand, the other is your advertising test strategy.

In my opinion, various methods of finding niche and niche tools are helping you to improve your chances of hitting a potentially winning one. For new dropshipping sellers, some tools can improve your efficiency in selecting suppliers. These tools provide actual order trends as a reference, and will also recommend some items that are likely to pop. Using them correctly can greatly improve the efficiency of your product selection. Of course, don't ask me how to choose products, I won't reveal my niche. Recommend some tools that can be tried for free, such as Aliseek, FindNiche, Niche scraper, etc. You are worth trying ~

The most important part of the process is ad placement. The core principle is to keep testing and choosing the best. If your products are really good, you may spend less on advertising costs, so the first step is to select products that are important. At the moment, I have more than 20 products that are performing well in my shop, but I have encountered obstacles. It may be that the targeting audience is not yet particularly accurate, and it is only on the FB platform. I'm considering retargeting and expanding to other platforms. If you have any other suggestions to share, I would appreciate them.

That's all I can think of right now. Although it may be poorly written and not professional enough, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have in the comments. Thanks for reading my rant!
