Hi Indie Hackers! 👋
Wanted to share my experience with launching a newsletter on PH.
At first, I've never thought that it's possible to do. I thought that PH won't let newsletters because it's not a web app or mobile app. Sometimes it's just a signup form, and that's it.
But I was lucky that I decided to put my few tweets with simple content, because later when I talked to a moderator, he said that if the newsletter has sample content then it's totally okay to launch on PH.
Then, I was thinking about how to make it look good and all that stuff, but Pete from No CS Degree told me that I shouldn't overthink and just launch.
I spent like 4 hours at night and then launched it. Got featured immediately, and took second place of the day. Despite the fact that the Tweets I put as an example loads like 5 seconds and it looks ugly.
Also I decided to launch on Sunday since the competition is lower this day, and I'm not sure it'd be easy to compete on a business day. Though, if you have a full-featured website, with articles/examples of previous issues, etc, should be okay.
Here are the traffic stats

And here what I got after the launch:
That's it 😌
Takeaway: don't overthink it.

Big shout out to you @Akcium
What's your favourite tweet that contributes the result here?
Well, in this case, all the followers came from PH I think. I put the link to my Twitter on the landing page of PH.
Also, I made a tweet about PH launch which got some traction.
But before that 3 things helped me to get another ~1k followers:
I have a newsletter and can't wait to follow in your footsteps. It's on my to do list!
Good luck with your launch!
Thanks for sharing Victor! I saw your launch on PH and also subscribed.
I also have a newsletter and had the same doubts. But I think I should go for launch soon :)
Thank you!
Yeah, go ahead! For sure!
