How I got $200 before even programming my SaaS

As an indie maker, I'm sure you know the feeling of creating something that no one is interested in.

There are many ways to avoid this, asking for emails is one, but it's very easy to get someone's email and that doesn't mean they are willing to pay for your product.

With 🌊 notifywave.com I wanted to avoid this and make 100% sure there was interest. I didn't want to just collect emails, I wanted customers.

That's why I decided to make a landing page to sell lifetime licenses for a future product still under construction. I didn't know if it would work or not, are people willing to pay for something that doesn't exist yet? Apparently, yes!

After a few days and a few visits I got more than 100 emails and more than 10 licenses sold for almost 200$.

Is it enough, do you think the idea is validated yet? 💭

      Mostly my twitter account but also ProductHunt, Reddit and IndieHackers.

    Congrats! That's amazing to me! I think this definitely validates the idea, the fact that the conversion rate into paying customers is so low means people tend to be cautious about spending money on a promise. But you still got them to, so I would definitely call this a win!
