Hi everybody Shayan here! I just released the early access version of my app https://www.solfej.io/.
So far I've collected 150 emails and counting! This is my first launch ever, and needless to say I'm so excited :)
Here's some things I did to get more sign ups (from most ROI to least):
Posted on niche subreddits. I posted on r/musictheory and some other niche subreddits. The thing with niche subreddits is that you usually don't need a lot of upvotes to gain traction. I was on the front page of r/musictheory with 5 upvotes!
Launched on ProductHunt. I missed the front page by 4-5 upvotes (next time I need to apply super early) however I still got a good chunk of traffic. I highly suggest having your network (linkedin, friends, etc) come check out your post to gain those initial upvotes.
Posted on my personal/music Instagram (2600 followers) an engaging story on my story (no pun intended) about my journey so far with the last story being to convert to checkout Solfej
Found people in my niche on Instagram and made some cold calls to them from the Solfej account (surprisingly worked well!)
Posted on sideprojects.net, submitted to betalist, betapage
Bonus item that I technically did before launch:
Do you mind linking your subreddit posts so I can learn more from your example?
Something that I struggled was that the niche subreddits that I found were all saying 'no advertising' so I end up not posting
